Downtown 1 Bedroom Flat

We stayed at Salted Roots Base Camp on our way to and from Katmai National Park. All in I can recommend SRB for a lodging option in downtown Anchorage. The rooms were spacious, quiet (even with the trains) and well appointed. Having a separate bedroom and a full kitchen was fantastic. Two very minor notes: While we really appreciated the reusable Keurig coffee makers, darker roast coffee would have made things perfect. And, on our second stay, the room was too warm and the only way to cool things off was to open the window, which was a bit loud with traffic and trains. I would definitely stay at this facility again.

The hotel is in a great location downtown, not far from both the Coastal Train and the Ship Creek Trail. The lobby coffee shop just opened and is a good place to grab a bite before heading out. The room was very spacious. I’ll definitely stay there the next time I’m in Anchorage.

This is my second stay at Salted Roots Basecamp and it continues to charm! This time, I was visiting with family for multiple days, and having a full kitchen + separate bedroom was great for giving us a bit of stability and ease without breaking the bank. I'll be back next time I'm in Anchorage!
